tps testing?
so Im having the sputtering problem, I wanted to check the tps, but Im somewhat of an electrical moron, can someone tell me at what to set the multimeter to check it, and what plugs do I plug in the probes? heres a 'pic' of the multimeter I will be using..thanks
same, like above 4000RPM, around there, it runs perfect, below that, if I get on the gas anymore than like 1/4, it'll start sputtering, and feels like theres no power but when it passes about 4000, its perfect
I had similar problem. Car had 6 month old Beck Arnley cap and rotor and brand new Denso plugs.
I started down the same path as you.
Solution: Threw away cap and rotor and got HONDA cap and rotor and NGK PFR6G-11 plugs.
Runs perfect ever since.
I just checked mine minutes ago (having idle problem).
The symbol on the meter I measured with looks like this:
V... and there is a line above the 3 dots.
Anyways, i put a small paperclip in the middle pin, and attached the ground cord thingy to a ground bolt, and bent the paperclip so that the other cord thingy can sit in it without my hands on it. I then had my hands free to hold the ground, and pull the throttle.
Good luck.
