yea you are to jump at the service connector. If you don't the ecu will compensate for any advancing/retarding changes that you make at the dizzy. - i don't know what you are asking about the scs, and map. I have a lil blue service connector from the center console that i jump before i make my timing changes.

well lets say i really dont have a jumper remember im running p13 ecu h22a
in a 88 prelude that doesent have that blue connecter i have one under my hood
wich seems to not be connected, so im going to have to do backtracking all the way to the ecu ,from what i understand the scs and map sensor are what those
two wires in the jumper that come from in the ecu ,correct?

so my question is ,if i jump it at the ecu will it work? there isnt a pathway thats missed? i know its not a easy question ,but im stumped a bit on my jumper.
so any wiring gurus help please .

someone here should definetley know this... so secondary bump for good luck.

what i figure, is that you ground out A13 on your ECU. you were wrong about the MAP part - that is wht/blu wire not a blu/wht wire (: but you were close .

i would leave scs or whateva you said out of it. ground A13 the millamp should come on.

i'm wondering how you ever pulled engine codes in the past? (or perhaps you never had issues?)

best of luck - if someone wants to set me straight - by all means.

jah no worries - if you don't know where to find a13 i could put up a pinout, but i'm pretty lazy and it seems like so much work to prnt-scrn, then paste and crop, and then upload to my webserver etc.. but yea, if you need more help let me know.
