my 5th gen is not turning over/cranking

i did the following
-checked the battery
-fuses.

i have this problem many times i still havent a clue as to what will solve this.
my only guess or thought would be the main relay.....which i dont know where it is
anyone know?

 

sounds like you need a new starter

 

any other explaintion before i spend money on a starter....

 

if yours is a five speed then it may be the switch on the clutch pedal. it may need to adjusted or replaced. if it is not enguaged all the way the starter will not even turn over. if you feel like you have to mash the clutch through the floor sometimes to get it to start then this prolly your problem.
