Ok so heres my setup:
I bought a 99 prelude about a year ago. It now has around 100k miles on the engine and besides a cold air intake the engine is stock. About six months and 7k miles ago I replace the wires and plugs with NGK wire and denso iridium plugs.

Everything ran fine until about a month ago when I was driving to work. The engine would run fine until I hit 3 thousand rpms. No matter what gear I was in the engine stopped giving horsepower and the only way I can describe it was that the engine was dead past 3k. I found that this happened about every 20 miles and the only way to correct the problem was to pull the far left wire up and pop it back into the chamber.

I looked at the plugs and wires and nothing looked odd to me, but I still bought new wires and plugs. I also looked at the cap and rotor and there appeared to be nothing wrong with those items either, so I left them in. The car ran fine for about 200 miles then the engine began choking out at 3000 rpm's again. I'm lost at this point so if anyone has any ideas let me know.
