Ive already searched all the idle problem threads and could really find the answer i was lookin for, well my idle jumps from idk say about 1000rpms-2000, it only does this when i first start it up when it is cold, I was just curious as to what this could be? And help would be much appreciaited. Thanks

 

the same things happens too me, what I rote, is that, i have to clean the fast idle valve or some, located under the throttle body..

 

mine does the same thing but ive got the coolant lines on the throttle body bypassed... so the fast idle valve isnt the problem.. any ideas

 

Well ive been told that if i take off my FITV and clean it that it has a chance to stop doin the up and down idle, so i did that and actually replaced it with 1 that i had with fewer miles on it, so the truth will come out tomorrow morning when i go to warm my car up

 

If its really cold outside alot of cars will have a high idol until the car warms up

 

not talkin bout high idle, im talkin bout the idle jumpin from 1-2k. but its ok now, i fixed it, i took off the FITV(fast idle thermo valve) and i had one from my JDM throttle body that i cleaned and put on and it fixed it, you should just be able to clean the one that is on the car and that should take care of it if you all have the same problem i did, GL with it all
