Default Possible Timing problem

I had my Timing belt replaced last spring by a Honda dealer along with cam gears which were set at 0.A few months before i had the timing belt replced i had my car dynoed on a mustang dyno and it made 160hp/120tq with CAI,ebay header (DC replica),Tanabe exhaust. After the timing belt and cam gears were replaced i added a Rage equal length header, test pipe, and Hondata, granted i added these pieces a few months down the road but my tuner was having a hard time tuning the car and couldnt figure out why, compression was normal, and i had no cels and it only made 145hp/113 tq, but the A/f ratio was pretty normal untill about 4200 rpms then it looks like an earthquake graph of about 8.5 magnitude. He said it seemed to be starving for gas and suggested i go up in size of an injector, i dont believe its the injectors ,could my problem be that the cams are off by a tooth when the dealer did the install?

I forgot to mention that Vtec doesnt seem to be pulling like it would normally too, you feel it but not as profound like before.

Yea it sounds like your timing may be off a tooth. I would also check to make sure your butterflies are opening properly.

butterflies are working correctly , would the tooth being off help explain that the a/f ratio goes crazy around 4200 rpm?

And how would i go about checking to see if it is off a tooth?

A tooth being of on the TBelt would explain ALOT of problems. GO check it then tell us what happens.

Set #1 cylinder to TDC, remove your valve cover, and see if the arrows on both cam gears are pointed straight up

On the left, by the "V" but it doesn't really matter for this case. When the arrows on the cams are pointing straight up, it's #1 TDC. Also, there's a mark on your flywheel that will confirm TDC

Yeah, just rotate the crank with a 19mm socket on the crank pulley bolt until you see the white plus sign on the flywheel which is TDC. Then make sure that the cam gears line up perfectly with eachother. You can take out the spark plug in the cylinder closest to the 'C' in VTEC and stick a thin peice of something (screwdriver, dowel rod, whatever) in there and when it is at it's highest point you'll know you are close to TDC.

I took the plug off to check for TDC on the flywheel and im not sure if my aftermakrket flywheel has a mark or not, is there a different way to line uo TDC ?I also took the vlave cover off and noticed that the Cam gears May be off a little im not sure how to tell which one is off a tooth.I know its hard to tell when things arent alined but it just looks alittle off.

With having a test pipe on my car and the secondary o2 sensor not plugged in(running hondata s200 p72). After switching to the stock ecu it throws a cel (o2 related of course , cel 65 i believe) i just bought an o2 sim from caspers so should i try the simulator to see if the cel goes away , thus making my car run fine and regain the lost power....Hoping that the cam gears are linged properly.

What brand flywheel is it?? Did you install it yourself or at least watch someone install it?

You could gt close to TDC by doing the spark plug hole thing and then lining up the cam gears when you are close...but that wouldn't be perfect...

OK, haha. I've never seen one of their flywheels, but for $429 it better have LED timing marks!
