so i swapped in a skunk2 intake manifold. after plenty of problems (including breakin g the knock sensor in half) the car seems to run fine except the fact when v tec engages the car just doesn't accelerate. anyone know what culd be the problem?

 

It could be getting TO much air, you may need a vafc. Just some thoughts : BUMP :

 

not getting to much air, did u replace the knock sensor if not theres ur problem it will retard ur timing not being connected

 

ya we put a new one in. i was going to check the codes again and see if it was still throwing the knock sensor malfunction but haven't gotten my hands on the reader again
