Need help with ignition problem
Hello everyone, This is my first post here and I really can use someones help here, So heres the problem.... I have a 92 prelude si H23 with some serious ignition problems. I can be driving and it's running just fine then all of a sudden it starts cutting out, at first I thought it was the tranny because of the way it was "bucking" (manual trans.) it was pretty violent I can actually feel the trans mount breaking, it kinda felt like the gears in the trans were breaking, skipping teeth or something, until I noticed that I was losing the tach and figured that if it was the trans it would peg the tach. This problem would be very intermittent, I have long commutes and some days it wouldnt do it and others it would do it all the way to work. I figured it might be the coil, ign module, or igniter so i started off with replacing the coil, NO FIX, then went to the Ign. module. I had no problems for about 2 months then it started again, since I had warranty on the last module I replaced it and again no problems for about 2 months. Now the it's back and seems like it's worse since the car is actually turning off now and I have to pull over start it again and continue with my commute. Now if it is the module going out every time what it is causing it?
I can really use some of your help here hopefully someone has experienced the same problem and know what the fix is.
sorry about rambling on but thought you guys might want to know as much as you can to help diagnose.
Thank you guys in advance
Richard.

Well...no it's not much of a "vette killer" being that it is bone stock and it is my commuter car. Vetkllr came from another forum that describes my 94 impala ss with a couple of mods. anyhow....mgags7 thanks I was thinking about it but damn that will be pretty penny, I'll check into it!
Thanks guys.
Richard
