The odometer problem is pretty common from what I have gathered on the 5th gen accords. Mine went out at 22k and the dealership replaced it.

Auto or manual transmission? I would also advise you to search the archives here at HT I am sure this topic has already been covered by people who know a lot more than me.

i had a problem with key stuck in ignition on 96 ex, however it was not the factory key it was a duplicated piece of **** that my 15 year old nephew decided he should try on his uncle's car. little bastard (literally.... LOL)

cost me 90 bucks to have a specialized locksmith come and get it out of there. took him about half and hour of playing with it. i was puzzled why it wouldn't go back to "0" and i'm also worried for you, especially if your key is the factory honda key from the dealer. good luck pal.

Speed o is probably bad. I had the same prob in a 1994 Accord. Replaced the speed sensor and that did not help. My speed o stuck at 20mph and worked some time. The inst cluster may be hard to get out.

Does the "P" light on the dash come on when the shifter is in park?

problem # 1 ,,most likely it is the v.s.sensor ..but u should confirm it before u waste ur money in a new 1 ..i have seen a few wiring problems and a few gauges go bad as well........

# 2 , make sure u are all the way in park like it was suggested ,if it will come off , go to a dealer and have them cut a new key and try it , or if u have another key try it with it ............ if key still wont come off get pliers and gently pull on key ..u might have bad tumblers in the ignition switch ,,,,,,,,,,make sure steering wheel is not fully locked to 1 position ,,in other words move the steering wheel and see if it helps

Your shifter is not stuck in park, its a safety thing, if you really need to get it out, there are wires leading to a conector in your steering column, right at the wheel, normally you can see them when you look under the wheel, just unplug those and it will come out. Thats what I had to do..
