Default Ignition Problem

Is it true that like a heavy key chain can cause the things in the ignition to mess up? Because I used to use a heavy key-chain till my good 'ol friend told me to take it off. Now its a bitch to start . I mean, like you can't even start it now . It was working okay last night, but now it wont budge. The key wont budge, I tried, my dad tried, my mom tried, but to no avail. Can anyone verify if that can happen and help me here?

If I'm decifering your message correctly *?* then what you are saying is that when you turn the key in the lock cylinder, it won't turn, correct? If that's the case, I've never heard of something like that happening from a heavy keychain. Try to turn the key 180 degrees and try that (that's what I have to do with mine *sometimes*). It could be that you need to get the four digit code from the lock cylinder and have honda cut you a new key... or, it could be the lock cylinder itself. Does the key work in every other lock on the car? Just trying to help you narrow it down to something specifice... HTH

The key is unturnable.

The key works everywhere else.

Try it again.....move it left/right as far as you can while trying to turn the key.
