HI,
I JUST BOUGHT A NEW DECK FOR MY CAR AND I WAS TOLD TO BUY THE HARNEST OR WATEVER TO CONNECT IT TO THE DECK BUT THE WIRES FOR THE DECK AND THE WIRES FOR THE HARNEST ARE NOT SIMILAR, MOST OF THE COLROS ARE SIMILAR BUT SOME ARE OFF.ALSO THE SOME OF THE SHADES OF THE COLOR ARE OFF AS WELL. WHAT SHOULD I DO? WILL I DAMAGE THE CAR BY CONNECTING SAME COLOR BUT DIFF SHADES OF THAT COLOR TOGETHER? PLEASE HELP. THNX.

 

first off dont post in all caps.....second buy the wire harness and it will come with directions on what wire to connect to where. assuming your "deck" is a new cd player

 

shades don't matter.
similar colors are fine.
blue needs to be the power antenna wire and the blue and white is for a amp turn on.
if there are orange wires they're not necissarily needed

 

Use the SEARCH function, cause it's been discusses plenty of times

 

just be sure that blue goes to blue, purple goes to purple, even if they are a little off from deck to car. Keep in mind there are two of each color, one dashed or striped and one solid, be sure you keep those consistant with eachother. Dont wanna confuse power and ground in there.
