Need help on solving wire problem

Need help on solving wire problem
Well a friend of mine whom said he new what he was doing(which he didn't) kinda screwed my sound up.
He went to install my stereo head unit for me, he cut the wires from the factory unit and through the factory unit connection away and then he spliced on the new stereo unit.
Well it gets worst the stereo I had was a bad unit and didn't work so I returened the unit for my money back, now I don't know wich color wire is for what accessorie.
I think the yellow wire is for the power, I don't have clue what the other color wires are for(left speaker, right speaker, etc.). I was wondering if someone could help me determine which colored wire is for??
Any diagrams or pictures, or just plain info would help
My car is a honda civic DX 1994 automatic coupe.

I have the plug and the colored wire is stripped off of it, but I bought a sodering kit and found a diagram. got it working again
