red is 12v
yellow is 5v constant
pretty sure blue is power antenna wire/usually used as amp power
and i thought purple was a speaker color. there should be a purple and a purple with a stripe.

why didnt you just get a harness?
purple and purple stripe will be the hookup for one speaker, and the blues for another. if no one on here can tell you, your best bet probably is to uncover the speakers and see which wires are going to it.

gray and white wires are the front speakers (left and right)
green and purple wires are the rear speakers (left and right)
yellow is CONSTANT 12v (memory)
Red is switched 12v (ignition)
The blue and blue with stripe are both turn-on wires. One is for a power antenna, and the other is for amplifiers, although I can't remember which is which.

go to best buy or circuit city, or walmart and get a harness for your car
then just match the colors. its easy. about $20
or, go to circuit city and get a harness for your car, and a harness for your cd player and its all plug and play. cost about 35 - 40

best bet is to get a harness
- kenwood isnt carried by circuit city anymore however, so your giong to have to color match them instead of using the smart harness

Yeah your best bet is to get a harness at Circuit or BEstbuy it will all be color cordinated from there...unless your factory harness is already cut then you will have to hard wire it like your doing. Here is all you need to hook up if hardwiring
Yellow = Power
Red = Accecsory (allows radio to turn on in acc position plus the radio wont work with out it.)
Black = Ground
White and White/blk stripe = left front speaker (black stripe is negative)
Gray and Gray/blk stripe = Right front speaker (black stripe negative)
Green and Green/blk stripe = Left rear speaker (blk stripe negative)
Purple and Purple/blk stripe = Right rear speaker(blk stripe negative)
Solid Blue = Power Antenna (hook this up only if you have power antenna)
That is all you need for your radio to work properly any other wires just crimp the ends or e-tape them up so there is no exposed wire that could short out your radio. Most harnesses will come with solid blue (power antenna) and blue and white stripe (amp turn on) but I have seen some with only a solid blue , or only a blue white stripe, either way you can use either one for amp turn on or power antenna.
If you go to Bestbuy or Circuit city just tell them you need a wiring harness for your make model and year of your car. Thats the easy way cause then you dont have to go look up hondas wiring diagram to make sure you got the right wires hooked up, plus you dont cut into your factory harness. If you get the harness it should plug right up to your factory harness and then connect the wires by color.
Dont worry about hooking up orange wires, and stuff they are for other things that you dont need. Just etape the ends. Hope this helped.
p.s. you can also find harnesses for your car at autozone and walmart, but I woldnt reccomend those, as they are crap, and confusing because instead of comming with just the one for your car, it comes with multiple harnesses for diff hondas.
