help with alignment problem .
so yeah , my brother crashed the prelude awhile back . fixed up the extrerior but the alignment is still WAY off .
the car has like massive positive camber with a lil toe in on the passenger front . cause thats where the accident happened .
im not at home right now so i cant take pictures but ill post up pics later on tonight or tomorrow .
so first thing first i thought it was the lower control arm . bought a used one. helped it alil but still has some positeve camber and toe in.
my thoughts are , the crossbeam that holds the lower control arms .
part number 2 in that pic .
also the rod that holds the lower control arm is a lil bent to , but thats a tiny rod.
help me out prelude gurus .
thanks alot

could be the crossbeam. i curbed the rear of my car and had to replace the subframe(part5)... that crossbeam will cost you a grip though unless you can find one at a wrecker or something
I would start by replacing the suspension bits that are visibly damaged first. And work from there. Hopefully, you can get most of the parts used from a junkyard because, like littedan said, replacing that stuff gets really expensive really fast if you are buying new OE parts.
If you have a you-pull-it yard near you, you might be able to get the full suspension mostly intact. i.e. take off the upper and lower arms, hub, etc and take the whole assembly mostly still bolted together and just bolt them up to your car.

From personal experience, most of the suspension parts are hard to eyeball to see if they're bent.
Try the LCA, the radius rod, possibly the control arm and the front crossmember.
If you get the camber taken care of and the toe is still off, there is a way to rig it to get it back.

I'm sort of going through this, i sideswiped a pole in my rear quarter and then the tire struck the pole rubber side, snapped a tie rod bent UCA, who knows what else.
I was lucky to find for cheap the UCA, LCA, trailing arm, knuckle, spindle, hub, tie rod and tie rod end all in one package... but now I'm fearing my rear subframe is bent ..
With stuff like this, theres enough resources to pickup parts for cheap from people with ludes they are parting out you may as well change it all. better do it right the first time.

thanks alot all you guys ... im gonan go to the junkyard soon to find the whole passger front hub and whatever and start there , if not then go with the crossbeam .. but i heard that the 94-97 crossbeam and front suspension is interchangable .. is that true ?? if so finding parts would be ALOT easier
I dont think 94 - 97, but 92-96 for sure. any fourth generation prelude.
Keep your calipers & Rotors, because they are different in Vtec models (larger) otherwise everything else should be the same throughout the years i mentioned.
***AND*** if you are at the junkyard and they have a 4gen with 4WS & the back end looks ok, TELL ME!! I think I'll need the rear subframe!!
