Default h22 on f22 tranny?

ive got an f22 preludewith 144k and i was wondering if the h22 motor will be a direct bolton to my f22 tranny, since i think the f22 tranny has longer gear ratios would it be smart to keep it? or should i just get a full h22 swap
thanx for any help

It will bolt up, just do not expect it to last long. My f22 transmission lasted about 2 months after the swap. I am not sure what went wrong, but a hole a the size of a penny with transmission oil leaking all over the place is definitely not a good thing.

If you want to save money, you can pick up a h23 transmission. It has longer gearing, but the price is cheaper.

The f22 will bolt up and if the tranny is in good shape just use it you shouldnt have any problems

there is no reason the f22 tranny would go bad sooner.. its just a different ratio

DrkGreenAccord: i would suspect your f22 tranny wasnt in tip top condition to start out with

if your going FI, i would keep the f22 all together,
then after that bites the dust, just get a complete h22

you'll fall out of VTEC when you shift but it will work no prob. your top speed will be higher i believe but accelleration will be slower.

I agree, don't half *** the job, down the line you'll regret it. Unless you plan on going the FI route then I would keep it, but if you want to get the most out of your H22A going NA then get the H22A tranny.
