Funny Question...
Hey guys, last night as me and my friend were putting together my motor, he came up tech question. He said, "Hey why don't you put a different motor in your car, like a F20C or something crazy like a SR20DET and make your lude rwd." I laughed and was like what the hell am I going to do with the H22a I'm building now, sell it? I would think it would be cool and all, but doesn't the F20c spin a differnent way, similar to a K20? My ignorant friend does not believe me and I want to prove him wrong (but as a friend). Not sure about the Nissan motor, but I prefer to stick to Honda engines, with Honda cars. Someone tell me he is wrong.
ya RWD ludes have been a dream for a long time...
realistically it's not feasible. unless you have a ridiculous amount of money, way too much time and don't mind cutting up a lot of metal.
i'd dig it

rwd *i wish!
There was a FF escort Van in UK mag that had a 4wd conversion + 400bhp Cosworth engine in it! that was on minted project but the guy had spent like 40k on building it!!!
Preludes would require waaaaaay too much modification, straight away for the rear driveshaft and diff youll have to relocate tank from there its a VERY steep hill.
h22mark: by spins the other way, i dont know about that but they do lean backwards in the lude and opposite to the F20C (correct me if Im wrong).
H22a.... all the way

Yes the F20c spins in a fashion that if it were to magically mate to a H22 tranny without modification, you would have 5 gears in reverse and 1 forward in a Prelude. And if you magically mated an H22 engine to an F20c tranny in an S2000 you would have 6 gears in reverse and 1 forward.
If you want to blow a lot of Moolah then you can contact Quaife. They make reverse gearboxes for Suzuki GSXR-1300 (hayabusa) powered cars. The benefit with that is it is a stand alone box that just reverses the output from the crank. So you get 6 gears forward and 6 gears reverse through thte Hayabusa sequential(sp?) gearbox. But we are talking a lot of money since quaife's box is for small engines, not Honda cars.

well you wouldn't mate an SR20 to a H22 transmission so i'm not sure that that would be an issue. likewise for the K20 and the F20c...they do spin the other way h22mark so you're right in that regard but putting one of those other engines would take a lot of work to, well, work.
you could do it, but it'd be expensive as hell. and you'd pretty much tear apart the whole car and have to get alot of custom built stuff. including but not limited to: custom driveshaft and rear differential, relocation of god knows how many different things, redesigned rear suspension, rear axles, etc etc...

the best thing to would be to use the rear suspension from the donor car...
or you could use a prelude's front suspension, and mount the toe-control-whatever rods to the same place the steering rack normally goes
