Default Engine hesitation problem

As i start to drive my H22A accord hybrid, i can feel a slight but noticeable hesitation as rpm's increase. This happens in all gears. Has anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions. I did have a problem in which my engine would shut down while running and coming to a stop. Also, at times, at idle speed, if i pressed the gas pedal and increased rpms to about 3000, the engine would start to decrease in rpms and shut down. I had the fuel main relay removed and replaced it with a new one. The old relay had a burnt scent to it.

What could be going bad now?
