Joel: i was just reading the archives about your idea with the f20b 2.1L,, what ever happend, the thread just ended, so i figured i would ask here. was it doable? what ended up happening?

Modified by prelittlelude at 6:47 PM 5/30/2003</TD></TR></TABLE>

Basically I just ran out of time and went with H22A4 stuff to finish it quicker.

F20B does work, and I may try it sometime in the future, but I wanted to keep my torque.

Are the rods stock length, or are the piston pins moved up some? Also, I agree with the rocks in the timing belt problem. I have asked this here before to no avail, but I don't think the upper timing belt cover will fit with any of the available adjustable cam gears. To my knowledge, they all hit/rub on the plastic upper cover. I know the AEM's and RC's do, and everyone else I asked with a different brand said they cut the covers anyway. Anyone know which brand (if any) will fit with the covers on? Good luck satan, keep us posted!

My covers are cut anyways so....

The rods are stock H22a length, Endyn pistons

Because Endyn rollerwaves are made with deep valve reliefs, and cam gears are at 0 right now, and I don't really have any intentions of moving it much if any.

Remember the CR is higher becuase the 89mm bore. it's the same compression height as an 11.5:1 87mm piston

I would love to totally rebuild my engine, but funding is preventing me from doing anything right now. I do have a question about it though, since you have all of those mods, and the stock fuel system, won't that deprive it of the necessary amount of fuel? You know what ur doin though, good luck with it, and I can't wait to see some numbers...be sure to post them when you dyno that beast!!! </TD></TR></TABLE>

I have RC 370cc injectors, so no I think I'm okay...I have heard the stock fuel pump and stuff is good to 350whp? FI guys would know

Also, why did you build this motor??? For the track?? Dragstrip?? AutoX??

I can't wait to see some stats on it.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I built it for fun, to drive.

so everything you had said would work, you jsut need a custom rod, ,, when you were in this project you ran out of time, just didn't want to do the research anymore , or was the fact that it had to be custom kind of scare you?

awesome motor , how much did you pay for the prodrive oil pump gear?, where did you get the tranny from?, and how did you get the aem fpr to fit the stock fuel rail?, I have been told you had to buy the aem fuel rail as well. great set up...just wish I was done w/ mine

Basically my engine builder didn't want to do it. He said I wouldn't like the torque loss. After getting the car back I agree with him. It would have been an awesome hih-HP motor I just wouldn't have liked it as much day to day. If I had been looking to boost it would have been perfect.

Prodrive was maybe $250...we got it from prodrive.

Tranny was from the UK, just got lucky and found a brand spanking new one...cost enough!

I didn't put the AEM FPR on ther myself, but I can tell you it's on a stock rail...why do they say you need the AEM?

usually when you try to order the AEM FPR they state:

**Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulators for Preludes will Fit w/AEM Fuel Rail ONLY**

this was taken from: http://www.import-store.com/aem_regulator.htm

High Volume Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulators Prelude Si / SE/ VTEC w/ AEM fuel rail only taken from: http://www.wholesalehyperforma....html

so to my understanding it wouldnt have fit on stock fuel rail, but i had no idea why.
but i guess you proved everyone wrong.

i used a stock civic fpr regulator and the aem fits on the stock civic fuel rails, so i dont see why it would fit. been meaning to try it.....
