You guys are tools...of course we are putting the timing covers on! While were at it maybe we should leave the oil pan off too...but hey no one noticed that

I doubt I'll be changing the cam gear location...there's not much to be gained and with the piston dome...I don't know if I want to risk it right now.

Joel,

you should clay your motor, so you know your +/- for your cam gears, also so you can mesure the quench are of the pistons so you know if you can go a bit more or less "thickness" on the headgasket....

more power can be found with stage 3's by dialing them in... i'm doing this step, might as well since you have waited this long etc.

looks good budy, all your missing now is an intake manifold !! *wink* *wink*

i can't wait for the dyno sheet to compare both our setup to see.. similar nevertheless (let the best builder win)

on block

crower specs, i heard that is the only rod that has the minimal streetch value, all others , eagle, probe, have less resistance to streech. Have you gotten your complete rotating assembly balanced.. I did and two rods were not balanced correctly (small end) and the other two big end, as well as 2 were off by a couple grams.. they are computerized balance perfectly now all 4.. i was amazed to see this after paying so much for rods... i guess even top rods aren't perfect moreso production rods

I can't allow you to use that motor, your going to have to ship it to me for some serious testing this weekend at Beaver Run track in the ECHC race.. Gotta make sure its running safely..

Forget about the stock lsd. Replace it with a clutch type LSD like Kaaz, Spoon or Cusco (not sure about Quaife) is a must for best handling. You will see a big different.

If you can't find the power enterprise timing belt, check out the Toda Racing timing belt. It's supposedly 200% stronger than stock. They run about $180...but I've only seen them for B-series. SO, I guess the power enterprise was the right way to go. Engine looks sooo Sexy...*wiping drool off my face*

satan_srv: Thanks for sharing your project with us. Are the rods stock length, or are the piston pins moved up some? Also, I agree with the rocks in the timing belt problem. I have asked this here before to no avail, but I don't think the upper timing belt cover will fit with any of the available adjustable cam gears. To my knowledge, they all hit/rub on the plastic upper cover. I know the AEM's and RC's do, and everyone else I asked with a different brand said they cut the covers anyway. Anyone know which brand (if any) will fit with the covers on? Good luck satan, keep us posted!

How do you assure the valves won't interfere with the pistons with that compression ratio?

Damn that looks pimp. I would love to totally rebuild my engine, but funding is preventing me from doing anything right now. I do have a question about it though, since you have all of those mods, and the stock fuel system, won't that deprive it of the necessary amount of fuel? You know what ur doin though, good luck with it, and I can't wait to see some numbers...be sure to post them when you dyno that beast!!!

Damn Joel, that motor looks great. I wonder how reliable it will be. I have no idea because I obviously don't know a fraction about Honda motors that you do.

Also, why did you build this motor??? For the track?? Dragstrip?? AutoX??

I can't wait to see some stats on it.
