there is something wrong....that curve is fucked up...
why after VTEC engagement does power drop like that? makes no sense...you should be making even more power if your curve didn't take a nosedive at 5500
If you notice...your a/f goes right to 14:1 and then you curve tanks...you need more fuel in this area to keep the power up...that and some timing adjustment or something...

hey Brian can you explain that? The power increase is very large at the beginning I'm wondering why you would increase the VTEC crossover...don't you think the 14:1 A/F is killing the power increase?

Re: (satan_srv)
When the fuel was added at the the 14:1 a/f it would bog even with just 1%.I added 2% unmatch fuel. I dont know if its just me but it feels like i got rid of the power dip bc it seemed to just slam the needle to redline.

i can elaborate on this a bit for you satan. the dip is caused by both the header and the vtec point. the vtec point is fine for a traditional 421 header but for some reason this header falls off at around 5500. now having said that it can be corrected with a higher vtec point. i have this problem with my car and will be moving vtec to approx 6k.
i cant explain why this dip occurs but i think it is a back pressure issue at this rpm on the big cam profile. look at precord96 dyno and he had to move his up high. i think his is too high but the jun 3 primaries pull to 6k very well. look at the dip in my dyno identical. fuel and timing cannot correct this. i have tried.

Re: (SKDRCR)
Your accord weighs about 3100 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 14.55 seconds. That means that you've got about 198.91 HP at the wheels, and about 258.59 HP at the flywheel.
I think this time was reasonable being i made 203 sae corrected. I think my traps could have increased I will post the slip soon.

Re: (matix)
how fast did you end up going? How much does your car weigh? We have noticed setting the vtec changeover at around 5600 to 6000 has yielded the best results with the prospeed header and jun cams.

Car weighs 3100 with me in it. It did the 14.55 at 94.15. My freind tried running it and spun 1st bogged 2nd and pulled a 95.3 mph.

I think this is holding you up ............. get a decent header and a true 2.5" header back set-up, and tune that bad boy! You have a ton of air (theoretically) coming in, but it is having a hard time getting out!

Look up the page. The user prospeed is the guy to contact to get yourself the header. They go for about 550. Its a good header and the gains are def worth it.

Of course you would.

if your bottom end is stock, the stage 2 will not make a lot of power.. you need a lot more compression for them

Re: Dynoed the Obx cams, prospeed header, and skunk2 intake manifold. (matix)
Very Nice numbers...So I see you chose prospeed over D.C.... I see why now I wish I would have went toward the prospeed way....**** with gains like that I think I am going to be happy with the numbers I get as soon as Hasport in Phoenix tunes my car. With the mods I have I am hoping to get close to 250 whp on my 97 lude. Nice numbers once again. I am very impressed with the OBX cams........
