Crankshaft end play?

Crankshaft end play?
Long story, short: My crank pulley came loose, tore up the accessory belts, and when I opened up the timing belt lower cover, the balance shaft belt was shredded and torn up. I don't know if the balance shaft belt broke first and took out the rest, or if it broke after the crank pulley came loose and the balance shaft belt worked it's way off?
Upon further inspection, the crankshaft end now moves a few mm's laterally (side to side). No movement up and down though.
So before I pull the motor and tear it down, any ideas why the crank has that much extra movement? Could I have spun a main bearing? TIA!

**** happened to me last summer.. crank walk... luckily it was noticed before anything drastic happened... to sum it up.. put a fork in it, its done
