crank pulley ? for people who are familar with cars
aight i was replacing my timing belt on my car and i got it on and everything started it up and the timing belt was flapping around hitting the timing cover and stuff so i check the tension and everything try to tighten it as tight as i could and still does it i took the belt completley off and i put my hand on the crank pulley and it spinned freely like not with the shaft for the crank i think thats not supposed to happen im asking anybody who would know is that suppose to happen or not

nope that is not supposed to happen
there is a lock pin for you cranck pulley.
not only that are you sure you have the right timming belt?
if your car is an ls you might have a vtec timming belt
