Default Compression question

Im going to be building an H22a4 for my 98 Base, Its gonna be my daily driver, so I don't need huge HP 230-250 at the crank will be fine. Im going Crower or Eagle con rods, ARP head studs, PnP head w/ skunk2 Valve train, and maybe a 30-50 shot of N2O. My question is what compression and Piston should I go with?
I would prefer not to sleeve the block, but will if need be.
Thanks

Default Re: Compression question (quadiv20)

If you're going to sleeve the block bump it up to 11:1 or 11.5:1 (easily streetable), if you leave the stock pistons in there you can throw in some flat valves and a thinner headgasket to bump it up.

I don't have any experience with nitrous, so I don't know if it's best to sleeve or leave the stock pistons in there. However, based on my experience boosting stock vs. built blocks I would suggest sleeving it.

You can get 230-250 crank HP on a stock block without having to use NO2. I'm currently close to '230 crank HP' on a stock JDM block that has bad rings & flat valves in the Head, once I get a fresh block in there (debating built or stock) I should be closer to 250 crank HP (215-220 whp).
