Default cel code 21 vtec control solenoid

so im getting this code, also code 41 for ho2sensor, turns out the wires for the o2 sensor became exposed to each other and had touched, now i took out the plug to the vtec solenoid, i gave it power and heard the click that it opened, i also check the plug to the ecu and theres not short in it, so if the solenoid clicks and the wire from a4 to the solenoid is continuous, the only thing that could be giving a code is a short in the ecu correct??? i also check the o2 sensor and the resistance and voltages seem to be good on the sensor, so im guessing the short from the o2 wires touching shorted the o2 sensor stuff and vtec control solenoid stuff in the ecu, does this seem right???

did both codes show up at the same time? Was it running right before?

the vtec control solenoid showed up while i was recovering the o2 sensor wires, they sparked cuz i forgot to unplug the battery and they touched, but if the solenoid clicks, that means that its not shorted or anything correct???

if it clicks, then the sensor is fine. I would trace the wiring all the way from a4 to the solenoid and see if anything is melted or messed up there. if that's not the prob, try to get a known good ecu and try it. i've seen ecus withstand a lot of ****, and i wouldn't expect yours to be fried, but it is possible.
