Default throwing code 21: vtec spool soleniod and code 1: o2 sensor...

i know i need a new o2 sensor bu is there another solution to the soleniod problem other than getting a new soleniod? i also need a new pcv valve....

pull out the solenoid and check the screen. make sure the solenoid works by manually engaging it. now would be a great time to pull out the helms and follow the tree.

code 21 is also very common if you have a Vtec controller installed wrong. If its not installed wrong then i would start looking at the sensor its self. Check the wiring and be sure the solenoid have a good ground

does the soleniod ground itself on the chassis or on the head? and i dont have a vtec controller, but thats a good thing to know!

If you wired Vtec you self then you had to hook up a engine ground. If you had Vtec on the harness from the factory then the ground is at the thermostat housing

i had some work done at a performance shop here, they did my wiring for the soleniod... the reason why its hard-wired rather than harnessed in was b/c there was some trouble when the guy i bought the head from removed it. they cut the wires about 1-2 inches from the soleniod...
