Default B-series tranny + h22

As most of you know, there is an adapter plate available that allows you to mate a b-series trans to the h22 block. This yielded a 12.7 1/4 mile run in a CRX (or was it an EF) with a STOCK jdm h22.

I for one hate the h22 trans, the throws are too long and the ratios sucks. I was planning a quaife lsd and fd gear swap but am now reconsidering it in favor a oem b-series with oem lsd. I have a hook up at acura and can acquire the type-r trans for around 900-1100. Everytime I drive my brothers gsr I want to do this swap even more.

Does anyone know the feasibility and compatibility of the the b-series adapter plate and b-series trans into a 5th gen chassis?

This sounds good. I hate the ratios in the H22 trany also. I would deffinitely consider this swap.

I graduate in a year and hope to do the swap then. Hopefully the plates will be mass produced by apc or somebody and be a whole lot cheaper

my h22 hatch with just pistons ran 12.8@103 and 104.76mph with H22 tranny.

my hatch would have yeilded better times if the slicks were smaller (i was using 24.5x8x13)

this is an eg hatch with no rear seat and ac system removed and only suspension upgrade was a pair of skunk2 drag launch springs.

i do admit though...i miss 3rd gear a few times....it might be because of the cables...but i am going to zip tie them together like some one suggested

i don't think it's worth it for 750, plus i doubt anybody will ever make them and sell them because this guy claims he has a patent on the plates. Looks like somebody's going to have to figure out how to make them then post the plans and measurements online for other people to make their own.

if some wants to trade me a b16 tranny with lsd and that plate i'll trade my h22 with quaife lsd for it

i'd like to see how much of an improvement it would be

I also would be very interested in a adapter plate that would work with a 5th gen prelude. I would probably go for the JDM ITR tranny with the 4.7 FD.

i think the hardest part is going to be getting those shift linkages to fit your lude, i dobut u have the clearnce to go from the back of the tranny straight to under the console, not to mention the length will probably be off as well

The question is who would be able to fabricate the neccessary parts to make this work? Damn i want this so bad and dont want to pay for custom gears, Final drive, LSD and on top of that Labor. That alone would probably be aroune 4g's just to have the same gear ratios as a ITR Tranny.
