97 SS with 112k....change or not to change the tranny oil?
I have been getting mix results regarding whether to drain my tranny fluid and replace them with 3 new qts from Honda.
Car have 112k right now, it shift OK right now.
I'll be doing alot of highway driving.....for commuting...240miles each way on a monthly basis. Otherwise most of the driving will be city....30 miles per week.
So would it be better to put in the new fluid or leave it as is?
ALSO - I checked the timing belt.....it had the HONDA label on it.....could it be the ORIGINAL belt since new??
I just brought the car 3 weeks ago.

Auto or manual?
If it's a manual, change it with 2 quarts.
Auto, beats me.

i would change the fluids. the MTF does wonders for your tranny if you have stick. and for the timing belt, are you asking if it's possible that the belt could be the same one from when the car itself was made? anything is possible. but it could also be just an oem belt. most likely the latter.
