wats the difference between auto and manaul tranny fluid?

and that "redline" tranny fluid. how is that different from reg manual fluid?

most manual fluid is like a 5w30 weight motor oil, most auto tranny fluid is like 10 weight oil, the difference is that auto tranny fluid is made to work with friction materals in an auto tranny, in example the clutches and bands etc. so dont dare mix the two up, or put one in the other, its just wrong

and you can trust my word, im in a auto transmissions class right now at my school, just finished up the manual portion, I learn from one of the states best mechanics

Honda MTF is heavier than 5w30. I think 75w90

your probably right, Im only saying 5w30 because my helms manuel says you can use it, Ive herd of other people using it too, but I would recommend the honda mtf anyday.

aahhh, that makes sense now,, my teacher told me something similar, but I forgot exactly what,, that class was last symester.
