4gen e-brake
my e-brake is really weak and does not lock up at all, would getting new rotors and pads help make it lock up while driving or doing burnouts??? already tightened it and barely helped, or are they just weak and the prelude is heavy so its all bad?
you probably need new pads and rotors.
far be it for me to criticize your car, but it's pretty stupid to use your handbrake for anything other than parking your car.

yeah ur right but I cant help it, I just got this car and I just want it to be perfect..........the first engine blew up b/c of an oil leak, the second engine blew up as well and it had only 38,000 miles on it!!!!.......I dont even drive it hard, is it normal for prelude engines to have this many problems????...or am I just unlucky?.....i guess I'm just over reacting to such a little problem

its called a parking brake for a reason...

The e-brake does not work through your standard brakes.
It's a hydraulic drum inside the rear disc. Ever wonder why it was slightly deeper? You may need a new spring or something. I have the same problem.. maybe I should take a look.

im my experiences prelude motors have treated me well. i think your either unlucky or you dont know how to take care of a motor. could be your unlucky that you dont know how to take care of one i dont know but if you have 2 motors blow on u your doing something wrong.
i didnt do anything myself, shops did it all and its all stock.........i didnt drive it hard at all, the first engine with 118,000 miles on it had a cracked block and it wasnt my fault........i only drove it 500 miles when it blew, and the second only 20 miles, the coolant somehow kept pooring into the engine, the top rad. hose was burning hot and the bottom hose cold, im not 100% sure exactly what happed though

Check the pad wear on the e-brake as well.

yeah, i just found out today my pads are worn down to the metal at the tops and are grinding my rotors. luckily i didn't have my radio on for once, and i finally heard it. damage isn't too bad on mine but yeah, check that ****.
4TH GEN ebrake isn't that effective anywayz... I replaced my rotors, pads and tighten my cable and it still felt loose.... honda didn't create and ebrake to do hardcore drifting if thats what you want...
