1997 prelude limp mode no codes... no idea, please help!
I have tried solving this issue and finding an answer by searching, but no one seems to have the exact issue and i havent seen a solution.
basically i have a 1997 base prelude MT, and after driving for a while it seems to go into limp mode- power sucks, wont rev past 3500rpm roughly. Bogs down if i floor it, seems to be cutting fuel. Anyway Its happedned several times now and once it went away after driving it for a while in the limp mode, once i got it to go away by resetting the ecu wiggling sensor plugs. now its happened again and i cant get it to go away. I tried resetting the ecu multiple times, and when it starts up its in the limp mode every time. No check engine light. I did the paper clip obd1 diagnostics and am only getting abs codes 53 and 51, nothing else is flashing, but the abs codes shouldnt cause the limp mode. either way i unplugged my abs unit and the flashes went away. I have no idea what to try at this point to fix it. please help! Everytime i start it its in limp mode, and wont rev high and has no power.

When you turn the car on does the CEL bulb even come on? Some hack could have removed the bulb at some point.

and I am also the kind of guy that would pull out a bulb if I had a good reason.
My only original thought would be to pull the plugs, put them into the plug wires, and watch for spark. My wifes car would run fine for weeks, then BOOM: no power..can't drive. Turned out I had a plug wire going out. No spark means no power and yeah, it will consistently bog out at a similar rpm point.

bro... im having almost the same exact problem with my 92 si... the whole limp mode issue no code throwing, and the bogging when floored =/ the power loss started when my cel light was throwing the code for the knock sensor.. wasnt tightened down all the way but even after fixing it/ resetting the ecu its stuck in limp mode. its annoying as ****

check your reference voltage at the map sensor and and tps for 4.5 volts with the ignition on and the car off. also check for stored codes..sometimes it won't stay lit but it will have a code
