Checking ABS Codes
On my '95 Integra, it's exactly the same. If there's ABS errors, the ABS light will blink it's code instead of the CEL blinking.
What year? My ABS only flashes short. First & second digit of the code are determined by short or long spaces between the blinks. Check out the sticky thread at the top of the Integra forum, but I don't know what might be different for Accords...

i tried doing this, and it is what all of my searches came up with, but when i tried, the cel light just came on, it didnt flash it just was on untill i took the paper clip out, the cel was just on the whole time
If your engine ECU has no errors, the check-engine light will remain on the whole time while the jumper is connected. But it's the ABS light that should be blinking, if the ABS has any stored errors.
That's the way is is on my '95 Integra. Things are different year-to-year, probably different from Accord vs. Integra? I don't even know what year Accord you have...
