Sorry mang, I really fail to see why your bike of choice dictates your safety gear, boots are designed to save your ankles and toes in a crash, not to look fresh on anything like that.

Hard objects and asphalt will bring equal havoc to your body and limbs, regardless of what bike you are perched on.

Answer that question. That's what no one is answering from my post. I could careless whatever anyone wants to critique about my life choices, I'm just trying to have a reasonable discussion.

to answer your question, i ride in full leathers 3 days a week (canyon runs), this is in SoCAL also where it's 80+ degrees just everyday year around. when not riding canyons, i'm wearing A* MX-1 Jacket w/A* Back-protector, A* Knee/Shin-guards, A* Supertech Boots, A* GP-Tech Gloves, Shoei X-11 Elias Replica lid. oh and i ride every [freak]ing day, rain or shine.

DRESS FOR THE ACCIDENT. NOT THE RIDE.

And just to further clear my name, haha, my brother has a 2006 Yamaha R6 that I could jump on and ride whenever I wanted too. But I decided to be smart about my biking experience and bought a simple bike to learn on. I'm hoping to get a Honda CBR 600RR next summer and I plan on purchasing a full riding suit so I can push it hard and track some too.

ps- I'm getting a CBR because I'm honda fo lyfe. UCB, this is your opportunity to hate on me for having a gutted hatchback.

he will really hate on u if u get an 07 white 600rr

gear wont stop car wheels from crushing your organs, however, it will keep the organs from smearing on the road.

So because you're an idiot, you want us to spill the beans on what gear we wear?

I wear a 2 piece suit with a 360 degree zipper 4 days out of the week, in the 100 degree arizona weather. with my teknic setup, I wear Teknic gauntlets, A* boots, and whatever helmet I feel like wearing.

You know, if you're too broke to buy the gear, that's fine, poor people are allowed to ride, you're just the ones we hear about that get their bodies smeared across the road like mustard on a sandwich.

Me.

I don't own a car, so I ride seven days a week. And I'm wearing the full order of protection every ride.

Yesterday after reading this thread I decided to pay attention to other riders on the road and I honestly did no see a single person wearing a full suit. It's been 90+ lately here in Atlanta, I don't know if that effects their decisions or not. But I just thought it was interesting.

I wear gear EVERYTIME. I have a family and most important a daughter. Everytime i get on i suit up casue i would never want to burden my family with my death or vegitive (although i know this can happen even with gear but if i wasnt wearing gear and went down Id like to know that I did everything to protect myself). When i learned how to ride the importance of gear was stressed by my uncle. Who I did a majority of my riding with and wouldnt RIde with me unless i had full gear.

Well, thats because a lot of riders are careless or uninformed or simply do not care much for their bodies

Everyday I commute, I wear

-Helmet
-Shift Leather Jacket
-Teknic Full Gauntlet Gloves
-Textile Overpants
-Oxtar TCS Ti Boots

For the summer I'm thinking of getting a textile/mesh jacket and I have a A* full leather suit for the track
