The Squid Image Reference Thread:
So you think that any person on this planet belongs on a bike?
How is saying that some people aren't cut out to ride ignorant? There is a big difference between piloting a race bike on a closed course and piloting a street bike out in public.
This was not my quote, but I think its pretty spot on

Principal #1: 95% of the general public (and at least 50% of the already riding public) really don't belong on a motorcycle. They're just not cut out for it. Same reason some of us aren't cut out to surf or dance.
Principal #2: If you happen to be one of the few in the 5% of the public that really is cut out for riding a motorcycle, don't do it unless you're 100% in love with it, can't live with out it, live it/breath it all the time. If not, it's not worth the risk. Take up another hobby.
Unforunately, very few people are self aware enough to recognize #1 and even fewer still have a deep enough appreciation for the risks to even make the assessment in #2.
In my life I have never ever tried to talk someone into motorcycling, but I've talked many people out of it.</TD></TR></TABLE>
This was in response to someone taking the MSF, and then calling it quits. Saying he simply wasn't cut out for riding, which takes a HUGE bit of courage to admit on a motorcycle forum. Much more kudos to him than your average squid who is out in the twisties every weekend, pushing way beyond his limits to prove to the others that he's "mad fast"
And do you really think I give 2 ***** if someone who RACES a bike can smoke me lol, ive owned a bike for all of 5 days now, no **** he can smoke me. Its that exact mentality that gets tons of riders killed every day. Ego is a terrible thing, you cant just jump on a bike and expect to be the next Rossi.

^^ that post really made me think (not the bikes for girls comment lol)
I can't dance, i mean, i CANT dance, its sad i know, but whatever i can live with it as i listen to the blues anyways,
but on a bike every movement feels so natural. Some people were just made for it.
Guess ill tell my squidly friends to keep it on the dancefloor and out of harms way
Now for the Squid Pic

This is why you don't turn fast while driving a bike with a side car:
