I know that i can turn off the maint. light...but its flashing, so that means its not just a reminder for tune up right? i remember reading this and seeing the codes somewhere, but i forgot all of how it works....anyways the light comes on, then flashes 10 times without pause...whats that? or do i need a code reader?

 

you should get it checked up on then. and no its not a reminder light.

Those were ecu codes if you're having a check engine light, not a maint. required light

i know how to turn off the light. I am wondering that since it's blinking (10times), does that mean anything? or just a maint. reminder.

it always blinks 10 times when it comes on, this means there is scheduled maintenance to be done, what mileage are you at and do you have your book that came with the car if you bought it new?

 

for a reminder doesnt the light just stay on rather than flash?

I was freaked out the first time it happened to me. We had just rebuilt the engine and tranny then, I looked it up I realized I just hit 120k miles

 

by the way baron lemme know what your mileage is and i can let you know the suggested maintenance if you dont have your owners manual

 

133kmi....well at about 122k i did just about everything, next i will do the o2 sensors and thats it on maint for now

 

I think it is just tranny flush oil change and radiator flush and the belts? That may be off though I don't have the manual with me but thats what we did for my friends 120k. You don't need to do the o2 unless the cel light come on
