Default what engine management are you guys using on the fit?

hey guys I am thinking of getting a fit in the future so i really am not knowledgable about the honda fits.

one of the most important things i would want to get is a really good engine management. preferable one with a pnp harness. is there any out there for now?

what are you guys all using for EM's on your fit?

i am currently driving an EF with hondata so i am familiar with EM's.

the only thing that is available is like the aem fic or the full stand alone, no companys make anything thats plug and play for the ge body style now for the gd series i would assume someone has cracked it. i know theres js racing who has cracked and raised the rev limit and i believe netted 30% gain, dont quote me on that. and theres a company in malasyia who can reflash but you have to send the pcm. all this is for the GE series. hope that helps. ive contacted hondata and got very rude responses from some guy. no love for the fit!

yeah why are the people at hondata rude anyways?

we end users are the ones that are paying for their product and services.
i never understood business practices like these.

i have a greddy turbo kit on my gd3 and it came with greddy emanage. but im upgrading to aem fic. and thats what most of the guys on fitfreak doing. the problem with emanage is that it doesnt adjust timing. also like the others said use hondata if u do a k swap. hondata hasnt released anything for the l series motor and arent looking to anytime soon. also another option is the kraftwerks supercharger kit. it has an em also. it might be hondata. but that is strictly for the sc kit.

Guys have used the 06-08 S2000 AEM EMS on GD3 Fits (Series 1 or 2 EMS should work).

You'd use AEM harness 30-2986C, 1G Fits & 06-08 S2000's have the same pinout configuration, OBD generation, both DBW. I'm surprised how little L-Series development there's been, they're nice little engines. No marketed Fit EM prevents the explosion of 300+ whp turbo Fit's like there are old D-Series cars.

@big_chef: what makes you think a K is more for the committed??? the L engines need way more commitment than your average K swap.

back to topic: what engine management are you guys using on the fit?

angryfit has basically answered your question. It all depends if you'll be getting a gd or a ge. If you're getting a GE then it's going to be tough. J's and RCA are the only two I know that have been actively and successfully doin re-flash for the masses and are off-shore. With RCA, you can send in your ecu or do a direct ecu swap + re-flash cost. J's on the other hand, if you go through PPI is no go. You can get it via other means of course. As for the harness, contact boomslang if they have already released one for GE.

^ i am not sayin' k swap is a wiser choice then staying in L engine. i never think K swap is more committed, i just wanted to point out that if he wants to swap a K in it, then i wish him good luck. if not, then it's all up to him. i said it outta total sarcasm anyways, can't belive you took it so seriously.

^ got it chef...

anyways, Honda has an HPD L15A7 engine in crates or HPD kit conversion available... so I guess it won't be long until we see some "re-flash" soon (just not sure how soon is soon lol)
