Default woohoo! no more cel!

i've been getting the code 1 cel for probably 2 yrs ever since i bought the rex. changed the 02 sensor but that was a waste of money. finally got myself to buy the b&m commandflo fpr and bye bye cel. i know there's a lot of you out there still driving with the cel on givin you code 1. well check your fuel pressure regulator first before the O2 sensor itself. easy install on the fpr, took me about 30 mins to cut that thing off with a cheap *** dremel.

if you got the combo.. FPR and press. gauge, if you installed the gauge before the FPR, you would of relized the problem 1st.

although, code 1 is O2 CONTENT i would naturaly thing O2 sensor, but its realy air to fuel mixture.. meaning, fuel suply.

good job though

yeah well i dont have the gauge yet. i just took a guess and adjusted it halfway on the fpr and it felt like it never felt before. acceleration is way smoother, response is quicker, no more "popping" sound from the exhaust, seems to have better mpg, and of course, no more cel. overall it 'feels' good. i'd get the gauge pretty soon cause i really wanna run it to specs but for now, it doesnt feel lean nor rich. it seems ok on the autometer "a/f ratio gauge" all the way thru redline, just a couple lines rich after stoich.

yeah, it's pretty common sense to change the O2 sensor cause the ecu said O2 sensor right? hehe, i also just recently realized that it is that air/fuel for code 1. reason why i said check the fpr first cause it's what the troubleshooting steps in the helms manual for that code.

actually, now i miss the cel. i keep on waiting for it to come on but it doesn't!
