Default Vtec problem, different than most... (did search) HELP!!

I have had a 21 vtec code for the past 4 months. Ever since I did the swap.
I had a dent in the oil pan, so I pounded it out, and fired it up, and there was still the code. So basically I did a 3 hour oil change. Oh well, now I can rule out that possibility. Who knows it could have helped. I took it in last night to a honda tech and he found that everything is operating correctly in the engine, he activated vtec manully, and it had the approx 70 oil press needed to run vtec. We then went to wiring, though the oil pressure switch(harness side) has continuity, it wont power a test light. He cant figure this out, it has about 14 amps, but the light wont activate(light works). Have you ever seen this before? We even had a second ecu there from another swap he was doing. Same thing. He told me the ecu was basically a relay station, and he wanted to know where that signal originates. Do you know? So, we ruled out any mechanical problems, and are pretty certain it is electrical. Have you ever seen a problem like this? Let me know if you have any advice. I think my wire running power to the oil pressure switch is jacked up somehow, but it has continuity, so its weird. Any advice is helpfull, thanks Ryan

Hmm...if everything is running the way it should, and vtec works at the correct rpm I dont know why you would get that.

Have you checked the voltage through there? My fuel pump wont run off of 11.5 volts, but fires right up with 12 volts. You might want to check VDC rather than just continunity.
