Default stupid D16A1 question...

i've got a good D16A1 taking up space in my garage.

it was mistakenly delivered to a mechanic i know (he needed a B20A5).

the junkyard never picked it up, so he gave it to me.

anyway, would it be worth finding a ZC block mount and putting it in my DX wagon? if so, where could i find a ZC block mount?

can anything be done with this engine, or is it just a boat anchor?

What year is your wagon? It will fit in any 85-87 Civics or CRX. You need a bunch of parts from a 86-87 Integra to do it, such as motor mounts, tranny, axels and steering knuckles.

it's a 90.

i realize a ZC or D16Z6/Y8 would give a lot more power, but this one was free! free i say!

and it's still be 20 hp more than stock.

no it wont, its completely different...it will bolt up to a 84-87 easily, its not worth it imo to put that engine into your wagon...you honestly better off with just a d16a6...just sell the engine to a 1st gen crx guy...

he can use the pistons and rods if he wants a really high compression engine...as far as head, no, unless he has another d16a1 lying around...
