need help running grounds
i have a obd0 crx the im trying to get the starter to engae on and all it does is make the main relay click, i know its not the starter. I have one ground where the bracket is on top of tranny to the chassis, one from the block to chassis, the ecu wires to the thermostat, and i added another one just to see what happens from the starter to the chassis. any ideas of how to do it to where theres no way that would be the problem.

Re: need help running grounds
Try connecting one cable from a set of jumper cables from Neg battery and the other end clamp to an ear on the distributor. That's as good of a ground that you can get to test for the starter to work.

i know the starter works just cant get it to turn over or do anything everybody says its a ground but its grounded very well.idk what all goes into making the starter work from the eletrical part
and just to be certain do the grounds have to go excatly where they say to or would it still ground if its close, i have one running from the top of hte head to chassis, clutch cable bracket to chassis, the ecu to thermostat, starter to chassis,

ok found the first problem the starter gear isnt kicking out but it still will not do anything from the key, i had to engage the solenoid manually. i found the starter relay and it is making a sound as well, does it mean its bad .

Bench test the starter first.
The circuit is pretty simple, Battery to fuse box, fuse box to starter. The black/white wire comes from your ignition switch.
Download the 'CRX Workshop manual' (which is valid for all ED/EF), it's got circuit diagrams, troubleshooting flowcharts, everything you need.
