Now with a little research, you will find out which later ones are compatible with the different 88-91 boxes.

Mfactory has a new gear type LSD for 650.00 and they make good ****.
OBX = CRAP
phantom grip is 300.00 for way less performance.

Not sure about the Y1 but I am running the B16 one in my S1 trans.
I am very happy with it. About 3 weeks ago I was able to set FTD for cars at my local autocross.
I believe the Quaife was a big part of that.

Thank you everyone for all the input. If you want the performance you gotta pay the price $950 for a LSD looks like I have some saving to do

I don't know if all the people telling you that the OBX unit is junk even have any experience with one. However, I have had mine in my car for almost 2 yrs now, and have had absolutely ZERO problems with it. I've tracked the car(road course & drag) Not to mention I live in the Mtns. aswell, so my car sees ALOT of abuse daily, and my EF puts out 200+hp also. If you get one, buy the upgraded bolts & washers set. Strip it down replace those, and re-torque everything and you figgin set for 1/3 the cost of the quaife. If your ballen though, go ahead and get the quaife so the fan boys will like you.

I personally don't have a chance to try out the obx lsd as nobody brings it to Singapore/Malaysia and japs stuffs would be the easier choice.I have read about the durability of quaife lsd and i reckon that it might be good.
