GSR TURBO STOCK INTERNAL?
This might be a stupid question and if it is, i'm ready to be flamed at. I'm new at learning turbo. I heard alot about turbos. Whether to get your whole engine done or just to keep the stock internally and put on a turbo kit. The thing is, stock internals aren't meant for turbo but a person told me u could get about 260-300 hp with stock internals which is fine with me, only bad thing is the A/C has to go. But to me, who would need A/C when your cruising down the road with 260-300 hp? So to get around 260-300 hp? Do i really need to get my engine down? Oh yeah, I have a b18c gsr crx hf.

it seems like you are ready to throw money at a problem to make it fixed (in this case, throw money at your car - buying a turbo kit and making as much hp as possible). If you have the money, you may as well build the engine by lowering the CR to 9.0 or something, which is more turbo friendly.
you can make maybe 250 whp on stock internals and pump gas, but beyond that you'll probably run into some reliability problems.

lol true that
Better idea you rebuild it, boost it, then throw me some of that money you're apparently printing.

I'm glad I'm not you. Many of us push alot more than 8psi. on the stock longblocks. I did some Tuning on mine @ 13psi yesterday! Tuning is key though.

I just didnt want her to think you could throw a turbo on, and boost 13 psi. Yes, tuning is key. If you have the money, build the bottom nice , tune it and you will be safe

it all depends on how much money you've got. check in the forced induction forum and search around. you'll learn it

Good stuff!!! I usually run 10.5-12.0 psi on my stock D16A.

always believe ryan
she wants to buy a kit, not do work to boost. thus, less than 8psi is necessary.
