engine swap
Hi I am a new member and I had a question. My boyfreind is doing a swap from a CRX engine to a b18-a engine, and I'm tired of going to the store and getting him little things that he needs here and there, and I was wondering what he would need so I can get in all at one time. he already has the motor, axle , shift linkage, etc. but I need things like the clutch cable and so on. so I was wondering if you can help me and tell me what else I need to get. Thank you.

Re: engine swap (CrXgUrLeE)
Your B/F is very lucky to have such a helpful partner. He will also need a LS throttle cable, a mount kit if he doesn't already have one, a new timing belt if he didn't already change it, and perhaps a new clutch. He should try and change all the parts that are normally a PITA when the motor is in the car. HTH.

Re: engine swap (CrXgUrLeE)
ya i wish i had a girlfriend that would go pick up parts for me when im doing swaps, would save me a hell of a lot of time and frustration. make sure he has oil, coolant, spark plugs, any random gaskets he wants to replace, plenty of engine degreaser, and something im sure you'll enjoy, some good hand cleaner. latex gloves help a lot too. pick up two boxes if you can find em cheap enough. they're quite handy. if he's doing any wiring he'll need wire and some heat shrink and some solder...maybe some butt connectors. that's all i can think of that i've been strapped for.
