Default DIFFERENCES IN EF CIVIC

i know for a fact that 88-89 civic & 90-91 civic are different... in terms of the bumpers, corner lights, and fenders...

but getting to the point i need to know if a 88 civic headlight would fit a 91 civic
and also the tail light

The headlights have different mounting for the corners. The 90-91 screw into the headlight bracket where the 88-89 are into the fender. The tails don't matter. The side moldings are different. 88-89 have the ridge in the middle of the molding where 90-91 is smooth. 88-89 moldings are the same as JDM. Seatbelt are in the doors in 90-91 and in the pillar in 88-89. Also the seats are different, and the plug you use to set the timming is under the pass of the dash on a 90-91 whereas 88-89 is drivers side of the engine bay near the motor mount. The cigarette lighter stays on when the vehicle is off in 88-89 and 90-91 it turns off with the ignition. 88 has ITR style LCAs in the rear. 88 also has a smaller clutch with different splines. Thats all I can think of off hand

civic is longer. the doors and fender moldings might work, but 1/4 def. not.

Yea mine too, but the bolt holes there so all you need is the links abd sway bar with the bushings and clamps. Find someone that is upgrading their sway bar and you'll get most of the pieces required.

Let me rephrase this, all the specs I listed are for USDM civic. STD's have no sway bar, Si's have a rear swaybar. The 89-00 civics all have the same rear LCAs. They have a fork mount shock where as the 88 and ITR are eye mount.

The 88 civic and crx have integra type R "style" lower control arms, the are not the same part number as the one off the integra.

The 88 models have a strut that sits inside the lower control arm, the 89+ models have the strut mounting brackets on the outside of the arm. The 88 model is known to be a bit lighter.
