try not to use the A6 oem gaskets. In any of our a6/Y/Z motors that we do. we always use the Y/Z oem metal headgasket. the A6 gaskets are paper and hard to take off.

the reason why i ask is because i wanna lower the CR as much as i can with a d16z6/a1 piston setup......wat do you mean it will be paper hard to take off? i don't plan on takin the motor apart once its in..?

What he means is this. Over time, the composite head gaskets tend to fuse themselves to the block and the head, and they're a BITCH to get off. As for not taking the motor apart, what if you blow a headgasket?
