Which to choose?
First, what up ya'll. Here's my problem, i am having to have my car smogged shortly. I dont know what exhaust to get, but it has to pass smog. I have the stock piping on it right now but i took off the muffler from the back axle. So it is loud and annoying as hell right now. My three choices. Which would u choose......
----HKS Hiper Exhaust- I can get the cannister for 2 bills, then i would do custom piping
----Apexi N1- Heard it's loud and annoying after a while, but it looks tight
----Tanabe Racing Medallion-Looks sweet and it sounds good
By the way, this is going on a 88 Rex Si, 2 1/4 inch piping with High Flow Cat
One More Question......
Go with a resonator or not, i dont want it to sound shitty like some, sorry for the confusion. Thanks. Need opinions quickly.

Re: Which to choose? (africanqueen)
honestly those are all going to be cop magnets, i used to have a tanabe look alike and man i got looks and got followed all the time by cops.
ok back on topic, the route i went (going through smog this weekend) is i went with 2" piping with a new stock cat back to a turbo muffler that is mounted like stock, with a 2.25 pipe coming off the muffler to the stock position on the bumper, nice and quiet, not noticeable by cops, but once i get on it holy **** it just growls, doesnt get buzzy what so ever.
"matt who needs to figure out a way to keep the head cool during smog."
edit: with any of the mufflers listed you will need a resonator with the one i have you dont
