hey all, i have a 93 si (d16z6) and it currently has a tanabe racing medallion cat back and it is way too loud. i got a ticket for it and i need to either get the silencer for it or change it to a new exhaust. i dont like silencers so im leaning more toward gettin an all new exhaust like an ES Oval( so it wont be so noticeable like the tanabe). Now, im really not that smart or know that much about exhausts, so my question is, whats the best way to get it changed? buy a 2.25 i/o ES Oval with 2.25 custom piping from a muffler shop with a stock cat? or just a resonator? i dont know how to do this lol. i need something that wont restict too much power and will be smog legal/ will pass inspection fromm cops. thanks

look into magnaflow........ they give good power and sound very good, and are right around $100 less than most cat-backs

ok so if i was going get the magnaflow, what piping would be best, and as stated, hi flow cat? regular cat? im really illiterate with this stuff. thanks guys

I have a 3.5 or so inch tip and it is pretty loud but if you get an oval set up then its not really that loud but it has a good tone.
