b16 swap question
ok i have a 89 civic hatch dx and i get my new jdm b16a (obdo) on friday, has mounts, axles, linkage, but needs a dpfi to mpfi conversion i guess. what all will i need to do this? i dont want to pay to have someone else do it though. btw the guy threw in a 91 si resistor box he says. thanx guys

ok so on the harnesses then since mine is a b16 instead of si swap, i will need my b16 harness and my stock dx harness? im just going as if i put the b16 in the si's place. thanx again

Yea its helpful to have both harness' because then you have the actual plugs from the b16 that arent on the stock Si harness.
and dont forget, if you havent done so already your gonna have to convert from DPFI to MPFI. Good thing is if you have the b16 harness you can use the injector wiring from that and resistor box (if you got it)
The easiest way to do it, is leave the B16 harness on the b16, pull your old engine out, and take the harness of of that engine, then plug it into the b16 replacing the old plugs as you take them off. The dist plugs are probably gonna be different, youll have to search for the right pinout/correct way to wire that up, I dont have a link handy.
After its all switched over cut the plugs that are missing from your stock harness, cut them from the b16 harness, (ie vtec plugs and knock) just leave a good length of wire on each plug. Splice into those wires with enough wire to either run along in the loom, or just enough to go through the firewall to the ECU and to the appropriate pinout.
