91 crx stereo wiring problems
Hello I am putting a stereo in my car and the old harness is there but the constant power wire is stated as being yellow/red and the only wire I have left is the white/green one i can't find it on any diagram and my radio won't turn on unless I hook the solid red and solid yellow wires to the white and blue wire which makes it permanently on any help is appreciated

Re: 91 crx stereo wiring problems
check for switched acessory yellow/red ( may look almost white due to age of wire)
also look for possible blown fuse in fuse box under dash as well as under hood fuse panel.

u may have blown a fuse hookin it up wrong or if a wire touches wrong....

blue/white is 12v constant
green/white is 12v ignition

Re: 91 crx stereo wiring problems
I figured it out I tried replacing the fuse in the cig lighter relay and it fixed my stereo along with my cig lighter now though the stereo seems very quiet and poor sound any ideas for the next step

Re: 91 crx stereo wiring problems
poor quality could be a bad ground whether it be how u wired it or where it actually grounds out. also could be running power where the antena runs which can effect signal

Re: 91 crx stereo wiring problems
I found a sweet spot where it is not bad the bass has to be all the way down though it seems to be ok but to get loud it has to be almost maxed out I also noticed that there are no rear speakers but there where wires for them

Re: 91 crx stereo wiring problems
most modern spearkers arnt ment for bass. if u really want that shaking trunk then a full system is the route to go.
hard to listen to music with a loud exhaust personally, comes in handy at events/parking lots though cause with nothing running i can hear music or plug phone in
