Re: 90 CRX_B18C1 GS-R swap in progress
I know GSR manifolds aren't popular due to the space they take up, but I really love mine, plus it has a unique sound when the secondary butterflies open. I would keep the stock intake as long as you can get it to clear the fuel line, and get the secondary butterflies wired up. The secondary runners retain the bit of mid range power GSR's have to start with, compared to a skunk 2/Type R manifolds focus on high rpm range, but the difference aren't too drastic so take your pick.
Thanks again for the props. And Deetz, that thing looks sweet in your car. Good job. Keep an eye on my thread, I'll have plenty of questions to come.

I also have a p28 with hondata which can't run the secondary's. A p28 just doesn't have that feature even with the hondata. So i used an MSD rpm switch to activate it.
As far as the vacuum lines you need the special little vacuum tank (hopefully its mounted under your intake). There should be a little soleniod thing (it looks just like the stock crx purge valve next to the map sensor, it might work for this too) attached to the vacuum tank. this is what needs to be wired to the rpm switch.
You also need a check valve for the vacuum line that feeds the tank.
I suggests looking through some online parts diagrams, they can be very usefull. try acuraautomotiveparts.org. look through the vacuum tank section. If you find it the main parts are10 (tank)11 (tank mount bracket), 9 and 5 (control soleniod) , and 7 (check valve).
I would post links if i could but i'm using a ps3 and it cant
One way to connect it temporarily is to just run a vacuum line straight to the butterflies and they will open any time you give more than 60% throttle which sounds beefy, but the proper setup is to activate at 5800 rpm.

Re: 90 CRX_B18C1 GS-R swap in progress
Well, I don't have that vacuum canister under the intake manifold. Can I leave the butterfly on there and just connect the vacuum line to something? Maybe just have a t in one of the lines and connect it there? Or just get rid of it? Also, a sensor question:
The CRX had the MAP sensor and purge sensor on the firewall. The MAP on the GS-R is on the throttle body. And I believe the sensor on the top of the GS-R's intake manifold is the purge sensor. Not sure though. What should I do w/these? Should I get rid of the firewall sensors? I have already wired the MAP sensor to the GS-R on the throttle body. Wondering what to do w/the purge sensor though. Should I leave the purge sensor on the firewall? Or just wire the one on the top of the GS-R's intake manifold. It's these small brain teasers that make me stand and just look at the car instead of actually working on it. Anyway, I'm tryin to get some stuff done this weekend.
Help me out guys. Thanks.

check out this diagram, it should help.
you dont need the firewall mounted sensors but the purge solenoid might be worth saving (it might work for the vacuum tank control solenoid). And yes use the GSR's sensors.
http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...s=&view=normal
Yes you can just run a vacuum line straight to the butterflies, Configured this way they will open when you give more than 60% throttle. Thats what I did while i was gathering all the little parts (vacuum tank, solenoid ect.) to make it like OEM. It is supposed to get activated at 5800 RPM

Holy threadjacker batman!
I would like to help you crxboy111 but please start your own topic, and also be more specific about which wire you mixed up (maybe you dont know), and what motor and ECU you have.
Hey crxbrad if you have any more questions about vacuum line or coolant hose routing go to that link i posted and you can browse through the online parts catalog, they have great "exploded" veiws that can be really helpfull, I was constantly looking at these when I did my swap.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the threadjacker.
Thanks again for the diagram grog. I will definately be using it to finish up this swap.

K. So, I know I need to get rid of the resistor box because only obd0 injectors need the resistor box.
So, what is the procedure to remove the resistor box and the wires coming from it? The CRX harness runs from the connectors that come through the firewall and goes accross the engine to the resistor box. ????

Yeah, it really is that simple. just cut all the wires that go to the resistor box, then solder them all together and tape it up.
or alternately you could use Obd0 injectors.

Re: 90 CRX_B18C1 GS-R swap in progress
K. Thanks guys. I also need to know what all gets grounded in the harness. I moved my fuse box inside the car and unfortunately(retard), didn't take many pics of the wiring and what all went into the fuse box as far as grounds go.
And I need to run wires for the crank positioning sensor. The person that did the Y7 swap didn't even have wires ran for the cps. If anyone knows what pins I need to run wires to, for the P28, let me know. Link if possible.
Thanks

Is it just the underhood ground locations that you need?

Re: 90 CRX_B18C1 GS-R swap in progress
Got another question. The sensor on the crank.....That is the crank angle sensor correct? Cause there's also a cylinder position sensor. And I found a pin out of the obd0 crx ecu. It says the crank angle sensor is B10 and B12. Sound right?
Also I've asked questions about this already but.....how do I connect these wires from the resistor box together? I'm not much for wiring.
And I've started the wire tuck.
Too much wiring!!
Thanks
