zex 59300????

they suggest you upgrade the springs. someone on here said the stock ones would only last for a few thousand miles so you might as well replace them while in your in there. nipponpower.com has them for a good price. just use the search youll find several threads on this cam

Re: (Synergy001)
you;re fine as long as you don't rev higher than factory fuel cut off.
Reason they say to upgrade valvetrain, is because the cam is good up top 7800....which stock valvetrain is not.
So to us full potential of cam, it's a must

I really dont understand this...because at least on a Z6 the stock valvetrain is good to 7600, so why would 7800 be such a big deal?

the stock cam isn't as burly as the ZEX cam tho.
I never had any problems revving to 7200 with the ZEX cam...but never tried above that. My dyno graph was still climbing at 6800, when it ended.
It's more of an insurance thing. Stiffer springs are going to respond better than the 100k mile old stock ones.

how do you infer that the valvetrain is good to 7600?

Re: (BauleyCivic)
ok, common sense there ... sorrie, didn't know the p28 would take you that high... i've been only going to 7200 for my d15b...
any more opinions? i feel as if the valvetrain is somewhat not too neccessary, but is definitely worth peace of mind at 7600 rpm... dont wanna drop a valve at that speed...
